The Euston Estate, nestled near the charming town of Thetford, is set to host the annual Estate Show, a spectacular two-day event that promises to delight visitors of all ages. The show, which takes place on April 26 and 27, will feature an array of exciting attractions and activities that showcase the best of rural England. This year’s event has seen significant additions to the Main Arena, including the OMG FMX Team, who will be performing heart-stopping freestyle motocross stunts and jumps. The Shetland Pony Grand National, a new and exciting addition to the equestrian lineup, will bring a fresh perspective to traditional horse events while raising money for the Bob Champion Cancer Trust. The Breckland Land Rover Club will also be making a significant contribution to the event with their woodland off-road 4×4 course, offering visitors the chance to experience the thrill of off-road driving in a classic Land Rover or competition car. The course promises to be “exciting” and promises to be an unforgettable experience for all who take part.
Returning Favourites
Some of the show’s most popular attractions will return, including the Horseboarding UK Championships, which will be filmed and broadcast live from the arena. The Waveney and Norfolk Harriers “White Woofers” hound parade, Mid Norfolk Gun Dogs, Fens Falconry Birds of Prey, the Sheep Show, and displays of fishing, ferreting and clay shooting will also be making a return. For those looking for a unique experience, visitors can try their hand at fly fishing and coarse fishing on the Black Bourn River, or take part in archery, axe throwing or air rifle shooting. Dogs can be entered into the long jump competitions at the K9 Aqua Sports pool, while children can enjoy pony rides, a traditional fun fair, and craft marquees.
Food, Drink and Shopping
The event’s food and drink hall will feature a Game Fair Country Kitchen, showcasing the culinary skills of chefs from across East Anglia. Visitors can indulge in a range of delicious food and drink options, from traditional fare to modern twists on classic dishes. The show’s shopping area will boast over 350 stands, offering everything from fashion and footwear to gun makers and fishing products. Whether you’re looking for a unique souvenir or simply want to treat yourself, there will be something for everyone.
